搭配語的動詞很多可以互通，卻也很容易犯錯。像是commit這個字，可以用於commit a crime「犯」罪，可是「犯」錯卻不能直接用commit a mistake而是要用make a mistake，關鍵原因就是被中文母語所干擾，其中最常犯錯的，就屬介系詞！
(X) She accused the man for stealing.
(O) she accused the man of stealing.
也可以用charge with: He was charged with stealing.
(X) I’m accustomed with humid weather.
(O) I’m accustomed to humid weather.
也可以用used to : He is used to the heat.
(X) Teresa is afraid from cats.
(O) Teresa is afraid of cats.
(X) We arrived to the hotel at night.
(O) We arrived at the hotel at night.
arrive in用在國家或大城市：Mr. Shen arrived in Australia.
(X) The mother was angry to/against her son.
(O) The mother was angry with her son.
(O) He was angry at weather.
(X) The Mountains are covered by snow.
(O) The Mountains are covered with/in snow.
其實搭配語最好養成習慣，不知不覺脫口而出。而練習的方法像是遇到英文文章時，可以試著圈出找到的搭配語，讓英文變得更加流利！
